There are so many packages it’s kind of hard to choose ones as the “most” useful, but I think there are a group of packages that are very popular and used frequently. Here’s a list of the ones I see a more often used: Requests: The Requests package is one of the easiest ways to interact with APIs. It is well documented and makes it easy to use all different types of APIs from around the web. Beautiful Soup: Beautiful Soup is an intuitive suite of tools for web scraping. You can call pages, parse HTML by tags, etc. all with this package. Django Autoslug: Django Autoslug makes it super easy to great url-friendly slugs on any model. This is perfect for using with the Django URL structure so you can have SEO friendly slugs when doing detail screens or displaying data from a specific model. Wagtail: Wagtail is a Django based CMS that seems to be rising in popularity. I am probably biased on this one but it’s my favorite CMS i’ve ever used and I now include it in all of my projects. Django Allauth: Awesome package for user authentication. You can use it on top of the build in Django user auth and can also integrate with 3rd party sign ins like Twitter, Facebook, etc. Bonus! Cookiecutter Django: Ever feel like your doing the same setup for your projects over and over again? Cookiecutter Django takes care of that and has everything you could want to get started built in automatically. Not really a python package per-se, but super useful for anyone working with Django.
